The wait is over. St. Louis Cardinals' Third Baseman Matt Carpenter usually has a hot bat, and now he has his own brand of spicy salsa for sale around the area at Schnucks.

It's called 'Matt Carpenter's Bueno Mojo Salsa', and is being sold exclusively at Schnucks supermarkets.

Many are saying Carpenter's salsa has been the key to the hot streak the Cardinals have been riding into September (and hopefully the post-season).

Carpenter says it all started when Adam Wainwright planted a vegetable garden at the start of summer. He borrowed some of those fresh vegetables to use in a secret family recipe while the Cards were on a road series against the Cubs in Chicago.

Carpenter started setting some records on that series, and then more guys from the team started sampling the salsa, and now the team is on the verge of getting into the playoffs.

If you want to get in on the action, the salsa is $6.99, with Schnucks donating a portion of the profits to the Cardinals Care charity.
