Man ticketed after dumping dog on Oklahoma trail

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) – The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said they found the man caught on camera dumping a dog on a trail near 66th Street North and Mingo.

On April 17, trail cameras captured the guy leaving the pup on the road and driving away.

The dog waited for nine hours before rescuers with the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals picked him up. Volunteers named him Rocket.

Deputies say they've identified the suspect and have cited him for abandoning the pup.
