Crocs closing manufacturing facilities, per reports
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - Crocs, a Colorado-based company, is closing its company-owned manufacturing facilities in Mexico and Italy, per multiple reports.
In addition to the closures, the company's CFO and Executive Vice President Carrie Teffner will resign in early 2019 to focus on "strategic board and advisory work," according to Businesswire. She will be replaced by Anne Mehlman, the CFO of Zappos.com.
The news comes out after Crocs announced a new style of shoe featuring a high heel.
Crocs President and CEO Andrew Rees is pleased with the brand's recent growth. "Our clogs and sandals continue to perform well," Rees said, "and we are well positioned for the back half of the year.”
