NEW YORK — President Trump is expected to announce the person he has chosen to nominate for the U.S. Supreme Court tonight. His nominee, who will have to be approved by the U.S. Senate, is already generating controversy even though Trump has not said who it is yet.
Democratic and Liberal and even Conservative political pundits started attacking the credentials of the names that have been floated as being on the president's short list, which is to be expected in the days leading up to the announcement.
However, a new video released by CampusReform.com takes the cake in the current era of political division and may show how misinformed many people who push political beliefs are, despite easy access to information in the digital age.
The website sent a camera last week to ask college students at New York University what they think of President Trump's pick (one which has not yet been made, or at least, announced) and the results were apparently blind hatred for the nonexistent individual.
Campus Reform found that nearly every student view Trump's pick as "racist" and should be viewed with "outrage", even though no pick existed in reality.
From Campus Reform's story:
“He’s quite extreme in his views,” said one student of the fictitious Judge.
“I saw it all over the news, that he’s like racist,” another student added, referring to the announcement that hadn’t yet happened.
“I saw the new nominee is like racist, and he’s starting a new wave of something very negative, and I’m really scared about the future and what choices he will make,” another pupil added.
When asked if she’d seen the online coverage of the event, one faculty member described witnessing “outrage as it should be.”
