ST. LOUIS — The XFL, the professional football league owned and operated by Vince McMahon (who also owns and operates the World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc.) will return in 2020 with 8 teams, including St. Louis.
The XFL was an extreme version of professional football which ran for one season in 2001. McMahon has said that the 2020 version of the XFL will be different from the 2001 version, adapted for the current era.
The plan is for the league to have a 10 game season that starts in early 2020, likely January or February.
The St. Louis team will play in the Dome at America's Center in Downtown St. Louis.
