QUINCY, Ill. (KHQA) — Voters are heading to the polls on Tuesday for the Primary Election in which Quincy Democrats and Republicans will choose their candidates for mayor.
The top two vote-getters in both parties will square off in April's General Election.
Democrats are choosing between Quincy University instructor Nora Baldner and Quincy High School student Brennan Hills.
On the opposing side, republicans are choosing between former Quincy alderman Paul Havermale and Quincy Public Schools Board member Mike Troup.
The Adam's County clerk Ryan Niekamp said voter turnout has been "rather slow."
