Final Word: Style & Bias

While we may see bias on television newscasts, or read biased reports in the paper, what about the organization that's supposed to rise above the rhetoric and strictly be not only a straight shooter, but provide the standards of proper news writing and reporting.
The Associated Press releases an updated version every June to keep journalists informed on the proper grammar and terms to use in their storytelling. But as Jamie talks about in his Final Word, the latest style book seems to be a little more Orwellian, with directions on how reporters should not use terms like pro-life, illegal immigrant (or illegal alien), or Islamic terrorist.
