Final Word: Senator Pie Hole
ST. LOUIS —
If you were watching only the mainstream media to get your information, you would think that President Trump is a racist who brazenly shoots his mouth off at White House meetings, and that he definitely referred to Haiti and every country in Africa as, "s**tholes".
Trump has denied that he said that, other members of Congress denied he said that. Nevertheless, it was quickly leaked that day to a mainstream media organization and it spread like wildfire. By the end of the day, it was basically a fact.
By the end of the week, Illinois Senator Dick Durbin put on his best forlorn face and lamented on how he definitely heard Trump say everything he was accused of (Durbin never said exactly what he heard Trump say, nor did he say whose accusations he was backing up) and that he just couldn't believe that he would stoop to say something like that. Durbin went as far as to say that it was the worst thing any president had ever said!
Of course, in the same news conference, Durbin established that because of all the racism and horrible language, there was absolutely no way that the Democrats would ever budge on immigration reform. Well, except if the president gave them everything they want on DACA.
After nearly a week of the liberal media's push to make sure nearly everyone in the U.S. believed that Trump said those words and is most definitely a racist, Senator Pie Hole himself (Dick Durbin) got back in front of the cameras Monday morning with some forlorn looking immigrant families. When someone from the media asked if he thinks Trump is a racist, Durbin said, "The president and the Republican Party have a chance to prove that now" with, you guessed it... a compromise on DACA.
Jamie's talking about it tonight, in his Final Word.
