Final Word: Liar?

Attorney General Jeff Sessions was the focus of a lot of media coverage Thursday after the Justice Department reported that he had spoken to the Russian Ambassador twice in 2016. Some Democrats immediately demanded his resignation, claiming that he lied under oath during his testimony during his nomination hearings.

Sessions says he did not lie under oath, because he says he did not discuss the Trump campaign. Sessions, who was a U.S. Senator sitting on the Senate Armed Services Committee at the time, says it would not be unusual for him to talk to representatives from other countries while serving on this committee.

Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill decided to jump into the fray, but unfortunately for her things did not turn out well. McCaskill tweeted, "I've been on the Armed Services Com for 10 years. No call or meeting w/Russian ambassador. Ever. Ambassadors call members of Foreign Rel Com".

It did not take long for people to dig up a tweet McCaskill posted back in January of 2013, which reads, "Off to meeting w/Russian Ambassador. Upset with the arbitrary/cruel decision to end all US adoptions".

In Jamie's Final Word, he says that in light of all the fake news lately, he tweeted this question at her: "are these tweets fake or are you fake?"
