Allman Analysis: Steel Jobs, Trade Talk With Maria Bartiromo
ST. LOUIS —
On the heels of President Trump announcing tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from countries like China, known for being bad actors in worldwide trade and economics, FOX Business's Maria Bartiromo talked to Jamie on the radio about the move.
She says that the U.S. shouldn't worry about counter-moves from these countries, as they are running major surpluses thanks to very unfair trade deals. Bartiromo says that Trump is likely using the tariffs to pressure Canada, which is one of the two countries he exempted from the tariffs to work with the U.S. on renegotiating the NAFTA.
