Allman Analysis: Polls Show Trump Support, McCaskill Disapproval In Missouri
ST. LOUIS —
Is a failure to repeal Obamacare going to hurt President Trump? It doesn't look like it will affect his support, according to former Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones and the latest poll of Missouri voters released on Friday. Jones talked Monday night on The Allman Report about Trump's numbers, poll data for Senator Claire McCaskill, and numbers about repealing Obamacare.
The latest MoScout poll shows President Trump hanging on to 50% of voters asked about his job performance, with about 45% expressing some disapproval with his work in office. The same polls asked about Senator McCaskill, who was had just under 40% support in recent polls.
Jones says that while McCaskill is up to 42% approval, her disapproval numbers also rose the same amount. He points out that while it's tough to win with higher disapproval than approval, we won't get a clear picture on numbers until we know who will be running next year.
