Allman Analysis: Dr. Nepute With Ways To Fight Of The Flu
ST. LOUIS —
Dr. Eric Nepute stops by to talk about some ways you can fight off the flu and keep from getting sick this flu season.
Dr. Nepute says that while you may have a hard time remembering if we should feed a cold and starve a fever, or vice versa, we should do one big thing to keep from getting sick in the first place: Feed our immune systems.
Dr. Nepute says that Vitamin D3 is a major need, because we see so little of the sun during the winter, and our body needs that mineral to maintain a strong immune system. You can take these either with a vitamin, or as a liquid, but Dr. Nepute says that since we break down nutrients in our body in different ways, we should consult our doctors on how to best take Vitamins like D3.
Nepute also says to stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water, and make sure that you wash your hands and keep yourself clean so that germs don't spread as easily.
