Allman Analysis: Abortion's Little Reported Impact On Womens' Health
ST. LOUIS —
When you hear about the Pro-Life movement, you probably focus on the unborn. But what about its effect on women who have had abortions?
A St. Louis-area scientist has led the movement that studies how abortion procedures are likely causing women to experience physical and mental health trauma, including premature deaths.
David Reardon, who has PhD's in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Ethics, has been studying the effects since the mid-1980's. He is the founder of the Elliot Institute and has been called the "Moses" of the "post-abortion movement". Reardon has said that it is important to him that the Pro-Life movement become known as both pro-life and pro-woman in its anti-abortion stances.
Reardon talked to The Allman Report about his latest findings.
