Exclusive: New Life Evangelistic Center Director Reverend Larry Rice Files in Mayoral Race
New Life Evangelistic Center Director Reverend Larry Rice officially filed paperwork in the St. Louis mayoral race on Monday.
According to Republican Director at the St. Louis City Election Board, Gary Stoff, Rice paid the $1,318.20 filing fee and submitted signatures.
Candidates need 487 signatures to get on the April ballot. Stoff says while it appears Rice has more than enough signatures, they are still verifying the documents.
Rice filed as an independent in the race.
Monday was the last day candidates could file as independents to be on the April ballot. The filing deadline for Democrats and Republicans was January 6th.
