Hospital patient steals ambulance, crashes into several cars
MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) —
Authorities say a hospital patient stole an ambulance and led Miami-Dade police officers on a chase through Miami Monday morning.
Police say the ambulance was left unattended at Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital. According to WSVN, patient David Bozeman got inside and drove away.
WSVN reports that Bozeman crashed into several cars, including a University of Miami shuttle bus. The bus driver was taken to a nearby hospital for injuries but is expected to be okay, WSVN reports.
Police say Bozeman led officers on a chase that ended in Little Havana. Officers say he pulled the ambulance over and was arrested.
WSVN says the hospital did not comment on the incident because police are still investigating.
