Keeping an eye on Hurricane Jose in the Atlantic

Hurricane Jose remains strong as it moves north through the Atlantic Ocean. (WPEC)

Even as Florida struggles with the impact of Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Jose continues to churn through the Western Atlantic.

Jose is currently a Category 1 storm with top winds of 75 mph. It is expected to do a complete loop in the ocean and head back toward the west later in the week.

This makes us a little nervous. Some of the spaghetti models track the storm dangerously close to Florida. However, most of the models, including the reliable Euro and GFS eventually track Jose to the northeast.

This would keep it away from Florida and moving off the East Coast of the U.S. Of course, tracks can change. Check back for future updates.
