President Trump Talks Goals For Tax Reform In Springfield, Mo Visit
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. —
President Trump went to Springfield, Missouri for his first stop in pushing for his plan to reform the U.S. Tax Code. Trump says he wants to work with Congress, including Republicans and Democrats.
He had a message for Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill, saying that she should work on tax reform with him or, "you have to vote her out of office" as he told the crowd at the Loren Cook company Wednesday afternoon.
President Trump says any tax reform that gets passed must be simple, and that working families should not have to hire accountants to fill out what used to be simple tax returns. "We're here to today, to launch our plans to bring back main street, by reducing the crushing tax burden," President Trump told the crowd.
