President Trump Heading To K.C. To Campaign For Hawley
KANSAS CITY, Mo —
Missouri's Senate race continues to ramp up with yet another visit from the White House.
The Cass County Republican Party stated President Donald Trump will attend a July 24 luncheon reception in Kansas City, Missouri, and fundraise for Missouri Attorney General and U.S. Senate candidate Josh Hawley.
Vice-President Mike Pence bashed McCaskill Wednesday at an event in Kansas City, especially on voting against the GOP tax cuts and Trump's first pick to the U.S. Supreme Court, Justice Neal Gorsuch.
A letter from Hawley stated the president was traveling to the Show-Me State to help defeat incumbert Sen. Claire McCaskill.
"McCaskill has worked, at every turn, against President Trump’s agenda. She has failed to secure the border. She voted against a highly qualified and good man in Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. She’s voted to burden our family farms and businesses with outrageous regulations. And she voted against the tax cuts that have put money back in the pockets of working Missourians."
The luncheon costs $1,000 per person and $2,000 per couple. It will cost $10,000 per couple for a VIP photo with Trump and attend the luncheon. It will cost $25,000 per couple to participate in a roundtable with Trump, as well as a photo and luncheon reception.
The visit will mark the president's fourth visit to Missouri since he took office. He promoted his tax plan in Springfield in August 2017, then voiced his support for Hawley in St. Charles in November 2017, and finally in St. Louis in March 2018 to address the early effects of his tax plan.
